In a recent case, we acted for the purchaser of a secondhand bulldozer.  It was alleged that the vendor had misrepresented the suitability of the dozer for particular farming tasks.  After court proceedings were instituted a mediation was conducted at which the case was settled on terms favourable to our client.

In our experience, at least 90% of trade practices disputes, where we act for either plaintiff or defendant, settle without the need for a court trial.  We take full advantage of mediations and settlement conferences where possible, with a view to establishing whether each case can be settled out of court.
